My octopus teacher
Western cape south africa is where craig foster was born and where the octopus lives. The water temperature is Titanic cold. Craig wears no wetsuit so he feels connected to the water. he starts swimming when he sees a circle type thing that is covered with shells, he waits for a while and then at the last moment the shells break apart and then an octopus comes out.
a few days later he goes to the den and the Octopus is still there then a Pyjama shark comes and tries to bite the octopus. But the octopus gets away, but then at the last minute another shark comes and bites her leg off. Then her arm grows back.

My speech
Should tik tok be banned or used in schools
Hi my name is Luke I am going to talk to you about tik tok. Kids are learning bad behaviours because they are watching videos with rude language and swear words. For example a student could be a tik tok video about violent images such as shooting and killing and then they bring this bad behaviour to the school and into the playground.
tik tok should not be at schools because we're here to learn for example when the students watch the videos of rude images and swear words they bring that bad language to school and start swearing In the playground And on the school bus.
Tik Tok should be banned at school because it's not private. and it has bad videos. It’s not shared to your friends it’s shared to the whole entire world. And people act older than their age and you have to be careful of stranger danger.
Tik Tok should be banned at schools because when they Are here to learn they watch it, then start talking about what they see and they get distracted from the board. Then they don't do their work. Then they won't get a good career and thay wold be dumb.
Tiktok should be banned at school because When The students Watch it they become addicted to it and they want to watch more and more when they grow up they might start to kill or hurt people so That means we should Get Rid Of Tik Tok at school for good!
Tik tok can be dangerous one story I saw was when a kid put a coin in the power socket and the house almost caught on fire.
Tiktok Should be banned from schools you can get addicted to tik tok, it teaches kids bad behaviors, the students don’t do their work because they get distracted.
Tik tok should be banned from schools because when the students watch tik tok and then start doing the bad behaviour in the playground, they also copy swear words and rude images they see.

Reading activity - Making hungry hens
Today we read the activity of how to make a hungry hen. (well it was actually a rooster because it has a comb).
We made a hungry hen out of plates, feathers, coloured paper, a stapler, glue and felts.
Liam said it was fun to make the hen. Eli said it was excellent, Luke wanted to know how to cut out the comb, it was really hard. Bayden thought it was great.

Edmonds Scone recipe
INGREDIENTS
3 cups Edmonds standard flour
6 tsp Edmonds baking powder
¼ tsp salt
extra Meadow Fresh milk
75g butter
1 to 1½ cups Meadow Fresh milk, approximately
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 220ºC. Grease or flour a baking tray.
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Rub in the butter with your fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Add the milk and quickly mix with a round-bladed table knife to a soft dough. For light and tender scones the mixture should be quite soft and a little sticky. Scrape the dough onto the floured baking tray and flour the top.
Working quickly, pat the dough out to 2cm thickness and with a floured knife cut it into 12 even-sized pieces, then separate the scones to allow 2cm space between them. Brush the tops with milk.
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Place on a wire rack to cool, wrapped in a clean tea towel to keep them soft.
